| What's New?dBarcode .NET Components, version 3.1dLSoft is also pleased to announce the release of version 3.1 of the dBarcode.NET family of components, which bring high-resolution metafile barcode images to this established product range for .NET version 2.0 or later. The components can now generate GDI-compatible metafile files and memory streams in addition to the pixel-aligned bitmap images of the version 2 components. The components now have additional functions allowing them to be easily used in servlets for generating barcodes on IIS, in addition to their existing ability to run from ASP.NET pages. GS1-composite barcodesThese are now supported in the dBarcode.NET and dBarcode DLL families. For samples see GS1-Composites. Other recent news from dLSoftBarcodes for Crystal ReportsdLSoft is please to announce the release of Barcode Tools for Crystal Reports, a product that generates high quality barcode for Crystal Reports XI and later as well as providing UFL and Designer Component support for earlier versions of Crystal Reports. 2D Barcode Tools for Crystal Reports provides similar functionality in creating most common 2D barcodes. Both products are available as single computer versions or as server versions, the later including both IIS and Java servlets. dLSoft lauches Really Simple Barcodes 2 for Mac OS-X and LinuxdLSoft has released version 2 of Really Simple Barcodes for Mac OS-X (10.4 or later) and Really Simple Barcode for Linux, bringing to the Mac and Linux platforms the same functionality as that provided by the Really Simple Barcode product on the Windows platform, including graphic and font based barcodes and simple barcode label printing. dLSoft dBarcode.NET components for UnicodedLSoft has provided details of how to encode Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew and other Unicode languages into its dBarcode.NET family of components, as well as releasing a free sample scanning program for scanning symbols containing Unicode characters. The dBarcode.NET components supporting Aztec, Datamatrix, PDF417 and QR Code may be used for Unicode encoding. dLSoft launches Business productsdLSoft has released dLSoft Point of Sale software - powerful barcode driven POS software for use at a Point of Sale. Very easy for the point of sale operator to use - just scan the barcodes and push the buttons. It even prints barcode labels for those products that don't already have barcodes. dLSoft has also released dLSoft TouchTil - a program designed to allow a business to record sales, print receipts, tickets and delivery labels, order meals from your kitchen and summarise daily or period sales. TouchTil is ideal for use in a restaurant, bar, fast-food outlet, ticket booking office and a hundred and one other facilities where items for sale may be conveniently selected using a touch screen or a mouse. GS1-DataBarGS1-DataBar symbols and GS1 Application Identifiers will be available in all traded item scanning systems beginning January 1, 2010. The GS1-DataBar barcode type was formally known as Reduced Space Symbology (RSS) and is supported by a wide range of dLSoft products.
