DLSoft Application Note 01022 Question How do I use a barcode font on a web page? Answer 1. Create the web page in the normal way. 2. Add the characters which will be produced as a barcode, using any of the tools supplied with the font to generate the characters from the barcode data (eg dFont Helper) 3. Set the font for the barcode characters using your page editor or attribute. 4. Save the page - either on the server or as a local copy. 5. Run the Microsoft Web Embedding Fonts Tool (WEFT)* on the page. This generates .EOT files for the fonts on the page; you can exclude common fonts. Ensure that you set the root permissions for access to the EOT file(s) to include the URL of your web site. 6. Let the WEFT tool update the page and copy the updated page and EOT files to your local copy or server. That's all there is to it.
